Most extended healthcare plans include physiotherapy and massage therapy. Laser therapy is included under physiotherapy and massage therapy treatment. Most plans do not require a doctor’s prescription for coverage to apply. However, you should review your policy prior to attending the clinic to see if a doctor’s prescription for physiotherapy is required before making a claim under your benefit insurance program.
Motor Vehicle Accident
Lightspeed is an approved physiotherapy clinic for motor vehicle accident claimants. We will bill the insurance company directly for physiotherapy and massage therapy. LightSpeed staff will provide you with the necessary forms and assist you with filing a personal injury claim.
Private Physiotherapy
Lightspeed is a private clinic. A doctor’s prescription is not necessary if you are attending as a private patient. Payments may be made by VISA, MasterCard, Debit Card, Cheque or Cash.
WSIB Patients
Lightspeed Rehabilitation is an approved Workplace Safety & Insurance Board clinic. We accept WSIB claimants. Our staff will assist you in filing your claim and will provide WSIB with the necessary reports as you progress through your treatments.
Department of Veteran Affairs
Lightspeed Rehabilitation is an approved physiotherapy clinic for veterans. Please contact the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) for details of your benefits 1-866-522-2122. Please have your Health Identification Card or CF Unit Number available when you first attend.
